But unregulated authenticity can be destructive.

is not the same as communicating with intention.

• Why is this coming up?
• How do I want to express this?

We are amazingly resilient. We can take on so much every day, and we do. The problem is when we do not realize when we are putting too much on ourselves while maintaining the same pace and even higher expectations. Recognizing our CAPACITY will help us make better decisions about what to put into our day, every day.

Instead of a resolution or a commitment, or a refusal to start the new year with any such thing, I believe in identifying a WORD that I want to live by in the coming months. This word is a mindful reminder that helps me anchor my mindset, actions and reactions, and gives some direction for my feelings and emotions.
